A tight smile appeared on Grim’s face. “I always know. I’m like Santa, but with more death.”
“Wow,” I murmured. “That comparison just ruined Christmas for me.

Synopsis: In the final installment of Jennifer L. Armentrout’s Harbinger series, the sides form in Heaven, Hell, and on Earth as the battle for all Creation begins. Zane’s shocking demise, even more shocking return as an angel as well as the revelation that Gabriel is the Harbinger sets up Grace and Glory to be one crazy ride.

I bet you won’t be surprised to hear that no female angels have ever gotten themselves kicked out of Heaven,” Cayman said. “Not because they never questioned anything. It’s just that they actually questioned things in a logical, thoughtful manner instead of acting like general fools.

Review: I’m going to try to not spoil anything here, but I had a blast reading the final installment of this angels and demons story. Zane’s shocking return is not all it’s cracked up to be as he isn’t all completely there. I am never a fan of lovers separated for much of the time in any novel, especially when one is no longer themselves and they must fight for their love on top of much larger and more deadly issues. Thankfully, this is not the case. This separation is needed to strengthen them both and prepare them for the final showdown. Absolutely loved the addition of the Prince of Hell himself, Lucifer, as a possible ally but for which side? His characterization was wonderful but a tad bit too humanizing for my taste. He is the Deceiver after all. Lastly, the treatment of parents to children compared to God’s relationship to His most precious creation was powerful and sweet. I appreciate that after so much nihilism from so many characters with their various points of view. Overall, a very fun and enjoyable trilogy and I am excited to read more of Jennifer L. Armantrout’s work!
