Review: Dreadful
4/5
The Big Questions:
What genre is this in? fantasy, comedy
Are there any swoon-worthy characters? Valevna is quite the hottie
Is it spicy? Nope, just hints
Is it violent or gory? Some hijinks but nothing serious
Should I buy, borrow, or pass on this book? Borrow it!
Review: If you are looking for a great time, but not a long time in a fantasy world, this is a great recommendation. Gav wakes up with no memories but lots of dark wizard energy around him. There’s goblins at his beck and call, a princess in his dungeon, other wizards breathing down his neck about some dastardly plan he is apparently a part of, a castle that can’t seem to maintain its staff, a reputation for being a dreadful Dark Wizard, and a sad little village that is nowhere near ready for the winter months. Gav’s got choices to make and he has to make them fast without letting anyone know he has absolutely no idea what on earth is going on, who he is, why any of this is happening, or what he really wants. With a delightful cast of characters that are nothing like they seem, great character development all around, clever twists, and a fast-paced plot, this book is a delightful read for the autumn months.
